Quanta is expanding its engineering team with five new appointments to further support clients in the delivery of the UK’s energy security.
Joining the team are seasoned oil and gas industry professionals, Sinan Karim, Aliya Bell and Maziyar Pazouki with Steven Alcock and Martin Forster taking up contracting roles at the company.
Senior project manager, Sinan Karim will be responsible for overseeing clients’ projects, managing schedules and budgets, and supporting the engineering team during pre-construction, design, and construction phases. He has worked in senior roles in the oil and gas industry for more than three decades, managing multi-disciplinary, multi-million-pound projects around the world.
Cost engineer, Aliya Bell has more than 17 years of experience in oil and gas, most recently as cost engineer for American and Australian engineering firm, WorleyParsons. Prior to that working on the joint venture, KPJV project, to support the expansion of the Tengiz oilfield in Western Kazakhstan, As part of the Quanta team, Aliya will help support our internal team and our clients requests to facilitate project costs and reporting, to allow effective forecasting and controls throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure compliance against agreed budgets.
Senior piping engineer, Maziyar Pazouki will be responsible for the design and implementation of piping and plant equipment layouts, which deliver optimum processes and systems for our clients. Maziyar boasts 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical and power plant industries and holds a masters’ degree in oil and gas engineering.
Steven Alcock and Martin Forster also join Quanta as contracting personnel in the roles of piping designer and principal engineer respectively. Together they provide more than forty years’ expertise in oil and gas and have previously worked for Quanta.
